Excited to catch Josh up, we left Dorado early for Cabo Rojo on the south-western coast where we would be staying at the Aquarius Vacation Club (which we found out were unused times shares rented out). We drove all over, taking highway 52 to Salinas (about 50 miles SW of San Juan on the southern coastline). We continued on the 52 to Ponce (another 50 miles), which is the 4th largest city. From there we took the 2WB (approx 60 miles) to Cabo Rojo, and had the hardest time finding the hotel (took us over an hour). We actually didn’t care for this one – the rooms were not maintained well, the “beach” if you could even call it that, was dirty & crowded. They did, however, have a great water park with shallow water for the kids (Belle had a blast!)
